Using Volatlas

From the first launch to a published sweep, in the order you will meet each step.

1. 01

   Install and activate

   Download for Mac or Windows, enter the licence key, and run the built-in demo chain.

2. 02

   Connect Databento

   Add an API key, pick a root and a window, and keep what you pull cached on your own disk.

3. 03

   Connect ThetaData

   Point the app at a running Theta Terminal and load history from your subscription.

4. 04

   Build a strategy

   Legs, strike selection, entry rules, exits and sizing.

5. 05

   Fills, costs and margin

   How every backtest prices fills, charges commission and holds margin against an account.

6. 06

   Run a sweep

   Turn any rule into an axis and read the grid for plateaus rather than peaks.

7. 07

   Results and export

   The equity curve, the summary statistics, the trade log and the CSV files behind them.

8. 08

   Licence and updates

   Three machines per key, releasing a seat, and how signed updates arrive.
